General FAQ

Portugal & Panama | March 14–21, 2026

This FAQ covers common questions students have as they prepare for their WorldWalker spring trip.

Program Purpose & Expectations

WorldWalker Spring Break programs are selective, educational travel experiences, not traditional spring break vacations.

Students participating in these trips were selected through a competitive application process that included written responses and essays. Each participant was chosen because they demonstrated curiosity, maturity, and an interest in engaging meaningfully with global cultures and communities.

While the trips take place during spring break and are designed to be enjoyable and memorable, the primary focus is education, cultural immersion, and global learning.

Students are expected to:

Engage respectfully with local communities and cultures
Participate in scheduled activities whenever possible
Represent themselves, their universities, and the WorldWalker program professionally
Conduct themselves responsibly and respectfully throughout the trip

Participants are ambassadors of the program while abroad.

Participation in every activity is encouraged but not mandatory. Students are expected to approach the experience with curiosity, openness, and maturity while still enjoying the opportunity to explore new places and cultures.

These trips are designed to be both meaningful and enjoyable, blending cultural learning with memorable experiences abroad.

Spring 2026 Programs

✈️ Flights & Arrival

Do we have a group flight?

No. Students will book their own flights.

When should I arrive and depart?

You should plan to arrive and depart on the official program dates and within the recommended arrival windows that WorldWalker will share.

Arriving early or departing late is allowed, but any additional lodging, transportation, or costs outside program dates are your responsibility.

What if my flight is delayed or canceled?

Delays happen. If this occurs, notify the group and staff as soon as possible so we can help coordinate next steps.

🏨 Housing & Rooming

Who will I room with?

Same-gender rooming
Everyone will have their own bed
Room assignments are finalized close to departure

Can I choose or change my roommate?

🧳 Packing & Luggage (Important)

How much luggage should I bring?

Please plan to limit your packing to:
