1. Acknowledgment of Risk

I understand that participation in a World Walker international program involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • International travel risks

  • Transportation by air, bus, car, or other means

  • Illness, injury, or medical emergencies

  • Food-related illness or dietary issues

  • Exposure to unfamiliar environments and conditions

  • Crime, theft, or personal harm

  • Political instability or civil unrest

  • Natural disasters

  • Physical activity and excursions

I acknowledge that these risks may result in serious injury, illness, or death.

2. Voluntary Participation

I voluntarily choose to participate in this program and fully accept all risks associated with participation, whether known or unknown.

3. Assumption of Risk

I assume full responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, or expense that I may suffer as a result of my participation, including those caused by:

  • My own actions or decisions

  • Actions of other participants

  • Conditions in the host country

4. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge World Walker, including its:

  • Officers

  • Directors

  • Employees

  • Contractors

  • Trip leaders and mentors

from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in the program.

5. Independent Activities

I understand that I may choose to participate in activities outside of the official program itinerary.

I acknowledge that:

  • These activities are undertaken at my own risk

  • World Walker is not responsible for my safety, actions, or outcomes during such activities

6. Medical Treatment Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize World Walker staff to seek medical treatment on my behalf if I am unable to do so.

I understand and agree that:

  • I am responsible for all medical expenses

  • World Walker is not responsible for any medical costs or outcomes

7. Health & Fitness

I confirm that:

  • I am physically and mentally capable of participating

  • I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions

  • I understand the physical and environmental demands of the program

8. Travel Insurance Acknowledgment

I acknowledge that:

  • Travel insurance is required

  • I am responsible for obtaining coverage

I understand that failure to obtain insurance may result in significant financial loss and that World Walker is not responsible for such losses.

9. Conduct & Removal

I understand that:

  • I must follow the Code of Conduct

  • Failure to do so may result in removal from the program

If removed:

  • I will not receive a refund

  • I am responsible for all costs associated with my departure

10. No Guarantee of Safety

I understand that World Walker cannot guarantee my safety at all times and is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control.

11. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless World Walker from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from my actions or participation.

12. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

13. Acknowledgment & Agreement

By signing below, I confirm that:

  • I have read and understand this Liability Waiver

  • I understand the risks involved

  • I voluntarily agree to all terms

  • I agree to be legally bound by this document
